Mix by Les Pascals | Japan [listen] The Pascals is a dozen Japanese musicians collective with their own special world, a world of off-beat waltzes, smiling daydreams and silent songs. Revealed at the Rennes Trans Musicales Festival in 2001, this highly singular collection of original artists, always just a step away from cacophony and uses instruments in their own very special way (or invents new ones) to create childlike symphonies, all in homage to their idol, the Catalonian musician-poet Pascal Comelade. The end result is a highly original work which is all together experimental, festive and melancholic.
