Mix by Nortec Collective | Mexico [listen]
The five musicians of the Nortec Collective have invented a new music
style called Nortec, a fusion of Norteno (from the north) and techno,
which illustrates the creative collision between the style and the
electronica culture and traditional Mexican music. The city of Tijuana
is at a crossroads of multiple cultures, languages, music styles and
activities. In Tijuana, there is connection, blending and fusion of
a type rarely experienced elsewhere. The Nortec Collective is a perfect
example of this blending.
